I've been an aspiring novelist for far too long. Finally, I put ink to paper and I am on my way to a debut novel.

I was selected as one of ten African female writers for the Femrite African Female Writers Regional Residency by Uganda Women Writers, Karavan and Swedish Institute. I had the honor to be mentored by award winning Zambian writer Ellen Banda Aaku and you can read about it here.

As one of six Mawazo Write 'Write the Novel 2' class, I am determined to have a proper novel by the year's end. The journey that begun 8 years ago needs a neat bow to it so I can move on to fresher stories.
